Movie Review: "Get Out" By Jordan Peele

English Newcomer Daniel Kaluuya did a great job in the lead role, and Allison Williams (daughter of former NBC Nightly News front man, Brian Williams) did a good job too. Also, there's something to be said for Daniel's homeboy in the movie, Lil Rel Howery, TSA Personified! 2TU for Jordan Peele! This movie is C-R-A-Z-Y from start to finish. Regarding the actual plot, this is why it cannot be stressed enough--Black Lives Matter! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Privacy & Safety Alert Re: 'My Friend' Dolls

These dolls put any child at risk for having their privacy invaded because hackers can use an unsecure bluetooth device that is embedded in them to listen and talk to the child playing with it. This means hackers can eavesdrop on your child and speak to them through the doll. Click on the image or text link underneath to read the full article for more information.

Dropped Like A Hot Potato...

First Nordstrom and now Burlington Coat Factory has reportedly joined a growing list of retailers dropping Ivanka Trump's brand. Apparently, BCF is experiencing some backlash, but has yet to make a statement about it. The reason will probably be decreased sales, if her brand was selling at all. But, if her stuff shows up in Dollar Tree, it will be flying out the door with the quickness! Way to go, Ivanka!

After The Grammys: Santana Vs. Beyonce

HUFFINGTON POST
Santana Clarifies Comments About Beyoncé Not Being A 'Singer, Singer'

At this point, we all know the drill because it happens far too often nowadays. One celebrity says something about another celebrity, the claim is submitted that it was taken out of context, then comes the apology and/or clarification. But, truth can stand on its own and doesn't need an apology or clarification. It is what it is and in this case, I think the 'Beyhive' needs to take some chill pills, find several seats, and sit down. Where's my bug spray?

Happy Valentine's Day

The Grammys: Adele Vs. Beyonce

Congratulations Adele! Please know this blogger is okay with the fact that you won 5 Grammys and as far as I'm concerned, no apologies are necessary. But, I whole-heartedly agree with you. There is a problem when it comes to Black artists receiving their just due at The Grammys and all main stream award shows, for that matter. So, in addition, I will say Kudos Adele! Thank you for calling attention to it and holding them accountable for the biased disparity.

"Good Night, Mr. Radio..."

I loved just about everything he ever wrapped his vocal chords around and sang, but I will remember him most for recording my all-time favorite wake-up song, "Mornin', Mr. Radio!" (1983). Thank you for so many wonderful musical memories. You missed your 77th birthday down here by exactly one month, but I hope you have a great celebration with the Lord!

Sen. Elizabeth Warren Will NOT Be Silenced
By The Republicans! #NotGonnaHappen

During the debate on whether to make Jeff Sessions the next Attorney General, Sen. Elizabeth Warren (MA-D) tried to read a letter from Mrs. Coretta Scott King, wife of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., on the floor of the Senate. The letter, which is 30 years old, urged the Senate to reject the nomination of Jeff Sessions to a federal judgeship in 1986. Although dated, the letter is still relevant because it presents a strong case against him when it comes to his capabilities to uphold the civil rights of African Americans and other minorities. Shortly after she started reading the letter, Mitch McConnell and the Republicans voted away her right to continue reading the letter on the Senate floor.

But, if you know anything about Sen. Warren, you know that she NEVER backs down from a challenge and rarely lets anyone stand in her way when she is bound and determined to do what is right. So, she went to the hallway outside the Senate room and read Mrs. King's letter to the world via Facebook Live. Needless to say, the video went viral within a few hours. I encourage you to watch it and listen to the letter--then, let Sen. Warren know in someway (perhaps, by email or her social media pages) that you appreciate her for taking this stand, even if she had to do it alone in the hallway.

Ironically, EVERYONE can hear Mrs. King's letter now, thanks to this video recording. God does work in mysterious ways! After reading the letter and based on the same, Sen. Warren stated that she is committed to voting 'NO' to Jeff Sessions becoming the next Attorney General. Stay strong Sen. Warren. I appreciate you, your commitment to our struggle as a nation with racism, and I stand with you. May God continue to bless you, guide you, keep you, and watch over you always. Amen! 2TU! YGG!

Melissa McCarthy Kills It As Sean Spicer on SNL!

Move over Donald Trump (Alec Baldwin)! White House press secretary Sean Spicer (Melissa McCarthy) and Secretary of Education nominee Betsy DeVos (Kate McKinnon) take questions from the press (Bobby Moynihan, Kristen Stewart, Cecily Strong, Vanessa Bayer, Mikey Day). I think Spicer stole the show away from Trump this week! 2TU Melissa! LOL!

This Is Why A Liar Cannot Tarry In God's Sight (Part 2)

If anyone can extend an ounce of sympathy to Carolyn Bryant but can't find it in their heart to do the same for Emmett Till and his mother Mamie Till, who tried to seek justice for her son's murder until the day she died, you are definitely a part of what's wrong with America when it comes to the issue of racism. And, that's why it's 2017 and African Americans are still trying to get this country to understand that #BlackLivesMatter too. What Carolyn did was NOT okay on so many levels and before you give her a 'pass' because it happened a long time ago, watch this Time 100 video.

It's true that Emmett didn't die by Carolyn's hands. She didn't torture him and brutally beat him beyond recognition, then murder him. No, her husband and brother-in-law did those things and both of them died a long time ago. But, he definitely died because of her lying mouth--and for that, she will have to answer to God.

OMG! Are You Serious? What Did He Just Say?

Frederick Douglass Has Been Dead For Almost 122 Years?

Also, according to another article I read from a reliable news source (not fake news-LOL), President Trump would like to change the name of Black History Month to African American History Month because he feels the term 'Black' is outdated. Oh, really? How many times is America going to rename us and/or things related to us? Further, when is this country going to recognize that our history is American history too--and, it should be acknowledged as such 365 days a year and taught to everyone. The country still wants to keep it confined to one month of the year, which is absolutely ridiculous. I'm still just SMH...
