This memorial will open in Montgomery, AL in 2018, and probably to a lot of mixed emotions. Visit the website, read about it, and make sure you watch the video preview. It's very moving, and I mean literally... things will be moving at this memorial. It represents the darkest and most painful part of our history in this country. But, remember... it's a memorial for the victims of lynchings, who should NEVER be forgotten--not the perpetrators, who were never brought to justice. And, it's even more distressing that after all these years, we still have to declare that our lives matter. The steady stream of unjustified police shootings are nothing more than a modern day form of lynching.
