Thomas, Chuck, & The Grandkids
My grandson is a really big fan of Thomas & Friends... I mean, a really, really big fan! So yesterday, my hubby and I took him to see the new Thomas & Friends movie, "The Lion of Sodor". The movie was playing at selected theaters around the country yesterday, but only 4 theaters were showing in the state of Pennsylvania. Fortunately for us, one of the theaters was close enough that we could get to it without packing for a long road trip. It was playing at the Clearview Anthony Wayne in Wayne, PA and the theater was approximately 30-minutes from our home. It was a pleasant drive and, as expected, my grandson really enjoyed the movie. I think we'll have to get it for him for Christmas when it's released on DVD-LOL!
After the movie, we drove all the way back to my daughter and son-in-law's house to pick up my granddaugther so she could join us for the rest of the day. Then, off we we went for a few hours of preschool/toddler fun at Chuck E. Cheese in Springfield, PA. When both of them looked like they were all played out, we brought them home with us so they could visit for a while. Shortly after we shared a pizza and some "hot wings" for dinner, my daughter and son-in-law picked up the kids and took them to visit Gran-Gran and Pop-Pop Skeete. We enjoyed having them for the day and it gave their parents a nice little break too!
