1st Presidential Debate: Clinton 1, Trump 0
Trump was a bully, nasty, and rude to Hillary and Lester!
And yet, some of you want him as your next president. Why?

How Police Shootings Affect Black Children
TULSA WORLD: Rebecca Lee, Literary Coach & Writing Teacher
For the school community at KIPP Tulsa College Prep, the death of Terence Crutcher is personal. Crutcher was the father of a KIPP Tulsa student and relative of nearly 10 other students and employees in this small middle school of only 300 students. The officer who shot and killed him, Betty Shelby, was charged with first degree manslaughter, arrested, and released on $50,000 bail.
I'm sure the charge and arrest has given Crutcher's family and friends some degree of hope that justice will prevail--but, the officer should have been charged with first degree murder and it's far too often the case that officers are NOT convicted for these racially motivated shootings.

Oakland Band Students Join The Protest
This display of solidarity is absolutely beautiful! Middle and high school band students of the Oakland Unified School District played the national athem while 'taking a knee' for police violence and racial equality! R.I.P. Terence Crutcher (Tulsa, OK) and Keith Lamont Scott (Charlotte, NC)--the latest black male victims of police shootings. All Lives Matter will NEVER become a reality until Black Lives Matter too! #ISitWithColon #TakeAKnee

Well, What Have We Here? Just SMH...
Bigotry, double standards, racism, and selective patriotism strikes again! Now, THIS was blatant disrespect for our president and the families of 9/11. But, where is the outrage over this incident? Oh, let me guess... everyone was too busy focusing on Colin Kaepernick and other athletes who they felt disrepected the American flag and military families, right? The way this country loves to misinterpret every protest and stand Black Americans take against racial inequality and injustice is an absolute disgrace. But, it's not going to stop us from doing what needs to be done to help make this country a better place for everyone!

#ISitWithColon / #TakeAKnee
The goal is now 100,000. The count is 90,927. Let's show Colin some support and get this done! History tells us he's not the first person to take a stand like this and he shouldn't be alone or the last. Click on the image to visit the Color of Change website, add your name, and share it across all social media. It's important!
