⏳ #TBT Memoir of A Typist
I didn't realize it at the time, but it was probably pre-ordained that I would be a typist when I grew up. I got my first typewriter for Christmas in 1964 when I was 6 years old and in the 1st grade. It was a Berwin Gold tin toy typewriter, and I actually found a pic of how it looked from the front on Ebay. I haven't thought about that toy typewriter in years, but it looks exactly the way I remember it. After that, I had a Sears manual typewriter while I was in middle school and a Brother electric typewriter while I was in high school. When I became an adult in the '80s, I made the transitions from IBM Selectric typewriters, to word processors, and finally to computers. So, I've been typing most of my life and I'm not too sure why, but it always relaxes me for some reason!
