Happy Labor Day

It's Labor Day and I'm posting this logo in memory of mom, who was a seamstress in various factories in Philly and a proud member of this union for many years. If your mother, grandmother, aunt, and/or other women in your family sewed for a living, they were probably members of this union as well. The International Ladies Garment Workers Union existed from 1900-1995 and you knew clothing that bared the ILGWU label were top quality garments made right here in America.

I also want to give a shout out to all essential and frontline workers who are STILL trying to get us through #COVID19 as safely as possible. But, based on videos I've seen recently on Facebook, etc., some of them are being totally disrespected and mistreated rather than thanked for risking their lives to serve us. Just SMH...

I'm officially retired now, but didn't want this day to go by without paying my respects to all of the laborers, past and present. Thank you and enjoy your day!
