Texas Judge Suggests Lynching Black Suspect, Denies It’s About Race

Does this judge have any idea what the word racism means? If he never said this about a white suspect, regardless of the crime, it's racism. If this suspect is guilty of what he is being accused of, he should receive the same type of sentence anyone else would get, which is not hanging from a tree. If this judge doesn't understand how racist his comment was, he shouldn't be sitting on the bench in a courtroom at all. Texas Judge Apologizes For Saying Black Suspect Should Be Lynched

What happened to a suspect being innocent until proven guilty? This man is a judge and he's implying this suspect should be lynched before he's had his day in court? This should call into question whether or not he is capable of administering equal justice and sentencing under the law. There are police officers who have been killed by white men and I don't recall such a statement ever being said. Regarding his apology, the damage has already been done because people who may end up sitting on the jury for this suspect heard it and maybe influenced by it. #ApologyNotAccepted
