Gainesville Police Department Video
On January 15, 2016 Officer Bobby White was dispatched to a complaint of kids playing basketball "loudly" in the streets. The call was received at 5:00pm. So, if you call GPD to complain about kids being kids, this is how Officer White is going to handle it. They're going to let kids be kids and focus on the ones who commit crimes. It's nice to see that there are still some 'good cops' around who actually have an understanding of how to deal with people and situations, in spite of the call or complaint that came across the squad car radio. This situation didn't call for anyone to be arrested, brutalized, or (God forbid) killed on either side of the coin. When things are handled properly, that usually doesn't happen!
