"The removal of Black Lives Matter Plaza is a painful reminder that progress is often met with resistance. But, history has shown us time and time again—erasing a symbol does not erase the movement, the message, or the truth. Black lives matter. They always have, and they always will. This isn’t just a moment—it’s a commitment to justice, equality, and the fight for a better future. The demand for change does not fade with paint on a street. It lives in our voices, our actions, and our unwavering resolve. And, let’s not forget—the very foundation of that house where those Executive Orders are signed was built by us. Now is not the time to forget who we are. We will continue to stand, speak out, and push forward—because progress cannot be undone."
