Ed Sullivan rewrote the rules of television and changed American pop culture forever. The new documentary "Sunday Best," which premiered on Netflix July 21st, immortalizes the TV icon’s legacy of championing Black entertainers when it wasn’t cool to do so. It was a place that Black people could go on Sunday nights to see people who actually looked like them for the first time in history. The cultural significance is partly what inspired Sullivan’s granddaughter, Margo Precht Speciale, to delve deeper into this aspect of his life and show. Her ten-year film project began after the 2014 death of her mother, Elizabeth "Betty" Sullivan, Ed's only child. - HUFFPOST
