💪🏾 Ooch, Ouch!
I recently received a "right shoulder impingement" diagnosis from my PCP and I have no idea how or when the injury occurred. All I know is, I'm experiencing pain from my shoulder and down my upper right arm when it's bent, extended, or raised in certain ways and during the night while I'm laying still and sleeping. But today, I had my first of twelve rehab sessions at NovaCare in Bala Cynwyd to hopefully correct it. I picked this facility because they did a great job rehabilitating my hubby after he tore his rotator cuff in 2013. I was assigned a physical therapist who is extremely nice and patient but for right now, everything he wants me to do in the interest of helping is hurting and he even gave me homework. So, once again, I'm calling on Jehovah-Rapha to help me during this healing process!

* We have lived through 8 different decades that spanned across 2 different centuries.
* We have gone from the telephone with an operator for long-distance calls to video calls to anywhere in the world.
* We have gone from slides to YouTube, vinyl records to downloading music, and handwritten letters to email.
* We have gone from live performances on the radio to black and white TV, color TV, and then 3D HD TV.
* We went to the video store and now we use streaming services.
* We got to know typewriters, keypunches, computers, floppy disks, flash drives, and now we have gigabytes and megabytes on our smartphones.

* Yes, we've been through a lot, but what a great life we've had!
* You could describe us as people that were born in the world of yesteryear who had an analog childhood and a digital adulthood.
* We have really seen it all!
* Our class has lived through and witnessed more than any other in recent history.
* It is our class that has literally adapted the most to CHANGE.
* So, let’s give a big round of applause to all the members of a very special senior class, which will always be remembered as the most RESILIENT!

♒️ Aquarius The Water Bearer
Happy 18th birthday to my grandson! I'm so proud of everything he has accomplished over the years. I'm looking forward to seeing him graduate from high school, voting for the first time, and all the other things in store for him as he transitions into adulthood. May GOD continue to bless and guide you going forward, just as HE has done in the past. Grammy loves you and I know HE loves you more. Tuesday's child is full of grace!

🌹 Rest in Paradise MLK
Happy Heavenly Birthday to The Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. We decided to spend MLK Day @ AAMP, compliments of Citizens Bank. In addition to exploring the museum, the panel discussion regarding Dr. King's advocacy and civil rights legacy in Philadelphia was very informative and time well-spent. We will NEVER forget his impact on our lives as Black Americans and Philadelphians too!

🎶 A Blast From The Past
Me and the hubby were riding in the car about two weeks ago when we heard "Still Believe in Love" for the first time. I immediately fell in love with it, but it took me a minute to figure out why. Then, it hit me that MJB is singing over the beat and melody of "C.O.D. (I'll Deliver)" from 1984 by PHILLY'S own, The Late Great James Mtume. Unfortunately, he departed this life and went on to his heavenly home in 2022. He was 76 years old. Good music never dies, nor is it forgotten. It maybe reinterpreted, but it always finds a way to live on forever. We miss you Mtume. #RIP
