He was 101 years old. My earliest memory of seeing his name as executive producer goes back beyond the sitcoms because he was also the force behind a funny 1965 movie I always loved called "Never Too Late"—which I suspect the main characters of "All in the Family" were loosely based on. Thanks to Jimmy Kimmel and ABC, he was honored last year for his numerous timely contributions to the entertainment industry. He will be greatly missed. #RIP
