🧵 It's National Sewing Machine Day

Kudos and a big shout out today for everyone who loves to sew and/or sews for a living, including the generations of women who were seamstresses... our aunts, grandmothers, mothers, sisters, etc. I've known several over the years, including my mom, so I always had a high level of appreciation and respect for them. I grew up with it and saw first-hand what it took to put a garment together with patience, precision, pride, quality, and skill when I was in some of the old factories in Philly with mom as a little girl. Where would we be today without the sewing machine and all of the people who know how to use them? Me2!
