Old Images of Philadelphia

It's 1919 and a paper boy stands in front of a closed theater in Philadelphia. The sign posted on the window of the ticket box proclaims, "All theatres closed until further notice at request of Mayor." In the first 6 months of the Spanish Flu Pandemic, the city's death toll reached 70,000. When lessons are not learned from history, it is repeated.
