The Way Too Short List of Black Oscar Winners

I made a personal decision not to watch The Oscars this evening. I've never been hung-up on 'The Red Carpet' fashion competition and to be honest, most of the films that are nominated this year, I haven't seen. If anything 'out of the ordinary' happens, including comments made by host Chris Rock, I've resigned myself to reading about them tomorrow. And, if you add to that the ‪#‎OscarsSoWhite‬ controversy, it all spelled ‪#‎IJustCant‬ this year for me. Instead, I would like to take this time to lift up and remember the 14 persons of color who won the award in the past via this slideshow I found on the Praise 103.9 website.
