🥳 Time Flies

Seems like the new year just came in and I hung this calendar a few days ago. Can't believe we'll be crossing over into February tomorrow. Loved looking at the Tabby Cat for January because it brought back a lot of fond memories of my tabby, Pebbles. Looks just like her!

🧩 Better Late Than Never

Yesterday was National Puzzle Day and I confess it's not one of my personal gifts. But, it occurred to me today that I missed an opportunity to spotlight this beautiful puzzle that was done by my daughter 25 years ago when she was a teenager. It's a 1,000 piece 3-D puzzle of the Notre Dame Cathedral. It was finished in about 10 days and since she worked so hard on it, I promised to keep it forever. It's been sitting safely on top of my China cabinet in the dining room ever since.

⏳ #TBT Lost & Found

I was 12 years old, but 2 months away from my 13th birthday. Back in the day, some adults referred to this period of life as the "in-betweens" or "tweens". The left is the original and it was taken at a studio in Newark, NJ when I was visiting my aunt during the summer of 1971. The right is a colorized copy.

👀 Eyes Wide Open

Well, it looks like my days of only wearing reading glasses as needed are coming to an end. I've been gradually trying to synchronize this pair of actual glasses with my eyes for 4 years. I can finally wear them all the time inside the house and when I'm using my desktop computer, but outside is still a work in progress—in particular, going up and down stairs, stepping off of curbs, etc. When the food in your plate is as blurred as the words on a page, it's time to put 'em on, keep 'em on, skip the vanity, and thank God you can still see. If they make me look older, so be it!

Then they said to one another, "Look, the dreamer is coming! Therefore come, let us kill him now and cast him into some pit. We shall say some wild beast has devoured him, and we shall see what will become of his dreams!" - Genesis 37:19-20 (NKJV) Yes, the dreamer and many others like him are gone but the dream lives on. Even more dreamers and supporters came behind them, and they will keep on coming until the dream becomes the reality.

📣 Yo, Philly! Spread The Word

Catalytic Converters are being cut out from under cars and stolen as well. This usually happens overnight so the perpetrators are rarely caught in the act. The crime usually goes undetected until the motorist tries to drive their car. When the part is not there, the car will be extremely loud and have a strong noteable odor. The average cost to replace the part can be in excess of $2,000. Please be vigilant and watchful about these things in your neighborhood!

Pass The Damn Bills

Just my 2₵ after watching the VP & POTUS speak today because I'm sick of all this mess. When it comes to guns, a lot of people in this country love to say that you will have to pry them out of their cold dead hands. Well, I feel just as strongly about the right to vote because too many people have lost their lives so that I (and others who look like me) can have a voice in the political process. The fact that some people don't want other people to vote has nothing to do with it and that's NOT their decision to make. They need to get over themselves because we're gonna vote whether they want us to or not, period. There's no more time to waste. Get this done!
