Cop & His Family Face Death Threats After Exposing Racist Police Chief

I am praying for this police officer and his family. May God bless and keep him and his loved ones in His care. We need more cops like him, who are willing to step-up and do the right thing. The #BlackLivesMatter movement knows that all cops aren't bad, but we need the good ones to start exposing the bad ones so that police and the black communities they serve can start working toward answers and solutions for far too many encounters that escalate into unnecessary shootings and death.

White House Farewell Concert For The Obamas

In addition to saying farewell to Barack, Michelle, Malia, and Sasha, this event will probably mark the last concert at the White House for the Obama administration. The concert will air on Tuesday, November 15th @ 9:00pm (ET). The hosts will be Terrence J and Regina Hall (click on image or text link underneath for names of performers). Be there or be square, and make sure you spread the word to all of your family and friends via social media. Let's give them a send-off that's befitting the first African American President & Family in U.S. history by watching this broadcast in record numbers that will blow all the other networks out of the water and shut 'em down! #BET

Quotes of the Day

This is exactly why an education is important because this
sense of logic is twisted. I betcha she's a Trump supporter too!

Remember this sense of logic on Election Day, November 8th.
He will surely run the country the same way, if he becomes president!

The Choice For Next President Is Clear...

Whether you acknowledge or appreciate it, you've had an amazing president (and first family) for the last 8 years and believe me, you will miss him when he's gone. If you're planning to cast your vote for Donald Trump, something is very wrong and you need to figure out what it is quick, fast, and in a hurry. It should be crystal clear by now that Trump represents everything that no one in their right mind should want in a president.

Now, you may not be a fan of Hillary Clinton. But, make no mistake... if you don't vote for her, you will definitely go against your own best interests for the future. For me, this election is no longer about Democrats vs. Republicans, or Independents for that matter. This is about 'Sane vs. Insane' presidential leadership of our country for the next four years. And, since I haven't lost my sanity yet, the choice is clear. It's #TeamHillary or Bust!

BLM: Articles of the Day - Part 2

Victor DeWayne Roy, Jr., married father of three children, wants the world to know his life matters, especially to some important people he calls family. He created the shirts and says, "I want each and every person who wears the shirt to know someone is reading that shirt, and the person reading it has no choice but to see those human beings beside you. At that point, they know you not only matter to this world as a living, breathing person, but first and foremost you matter to the people who love you."

Kudos to this dad for the concept and thought that went into the shirts, but the fact still remains that we shouldn't have to go to such lengths to receive equal treatment under the law. Click on the image or text link underneath to read the article.

I must confess, I'm not sure how to feel about this one. The project is a response to the morbid reality of police violence. Ja'han Jones, creator of the project says, "We are placing the reality of police violence before the eyes of those who know us best and forcing them to grapple with the prospect of police taking us from this Earth. And, this is not fatalistic — this is realistic."

I'm sorry, but I don't agree. I have nothing against writing your own obituary, detailing how you want your homegoing service, etc. before you pass away. In fact, I highly recommend it. But, doing it because we are being made to feel like our lives can be taken by the cops at any given moment sounds fatalistic to me.

And, again... the racial tension in America that causes this kind of thinking, is an absolute disgrace. Click on the image or text link underneath to read the article and decide for yourself.

BLM: Articles of the Day - Part 1

I know there are more stories like this one and if we can get the bad cops off the streets, perhaps there will be more room for them to come shining through. And, for the umteenth time, #BlackLivesMatter and similar protests are NOT anti-cop, as they are often times erroneously labeled. They are ANTI-BAD COP and if you can't acknowledge bad cops exist, then you're part of the problem because there is good and bad in EVERYTHING.

But, for now, let's SHINE A LIGHT on the GOOD COPS in this article, and continue to pray for a higher level of understanding on both sides so God's peace can be seen and finally prevail over this issue. Click on the image or text link underneath to read the article.

Speaking in front of a group of 2,100 AT&T employees at a conference in Dallas, TX on September 23, 2016, Randall Stephenson encouraged open and honest dialogue on race.

Kudos to this CEO who actually knows what time it is, and I'm standing and applauding! It's time to start talking about this, no matter how uncomfortable it makes us feel, so we can get through it, over it, and on toward making America live up its claim of "freedom and justice for all". It's National Breast Cancer Awareness Month...

Breast cancer is a disease in which malignant (cancer) cells form in the tissues of the breast. One in eight women in the United States will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime. It is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in women and the second leading cause of cancer death among women. Each year it is estimated that over 246,660 women in the United States will be diagnosed with breast cancer and more than 40,000 will die. Although breast cancer in men is rare, an estimated 2,600 men will be diagnosed with it and approximately 440 will die each year. On average, a woman is diagnosed with breast cancer every 2 minutes and 1 woman will die of breast cancer every 13 minutes. Over 2.8 million breast cancer survivors are alive in the United States today. Click on the image or text link underneath for more information.
